Last week we introduced you to our new sunglasses collection, including the new Caramel collection! Sunglasses in soft brown tones that comfortably fit your face and have a summer warmth to them. To celebrate the launch of our new collection, we planned a trip to Seville and packed some of our Kapten crew! Together with Christina Bischof (@christinabiluca), Kelly Flint (@kellyflint), Janina Pfau (@janinapfau) and Nina (@fashioncarpet) we explored the city of Seville and soaked up the first sun rays of the year.

Of course, we have pictures and tips for you again and a lot to tell. But just look for yourself and enjoy our unique experiences in Seville! 🍊

The Trip

The trip started at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, one of the most famous and luxurious hotels in Seville. Someone pinch us, please! After all, even today the hotel is an absolute gem and hard to beat in terms of charm and aesthetics. If you have a preference for the flair of Spanish architecture, you will certainly feel more than comfortable here. This was also the case for us and the girls!

In the style of ancient cultures, there was a mosaic workshop on the first day. The design is like putting together a puzzle that you can design yourself. And after just a few hours, the girls had their own work of art in hand. We can really recommend you to try your next DIY project with mosaic – the whole thing will give your furniture and your home a warm, Mediterranean look in just a few steps!

The next day we continued with a cooking class and Spain’s national dish – paella! Together with a chef we were shown step by step how to prepare this versatile rice dish. And the result was simply *chefs’ kisses* delicious. Similar, to risotto, the ingredients are cooked in enough liquid until the water has completely evaporated. And wow, this makes the rice absorb the intense spices and become a blast of flavor. Our mouths are still watering just thinking about it, so we don’t want to deprive you of the recipe – you can find it at the end of the post. 🥘

After the sumptuous meal, we had to go for a walk. We explored the most beautiful spots of Seville, such as the Plaza de España, one of the most famous squares in Seville. With the buildings in Renaissance style, the fountain in the middle and the countless bridges around the square forms a really picturesque backdrop and downright beckons to be photographed! Next we went to the Metropol Parasol also known as the mushrooms of Seville. The construction of wood snakes in the middle of the old town over the roofs of Seville. The modern landmark impresses with its size and has also won several design awards, which is why it can hardly be outdone as an Instagram spot.

The group always had their favorites from the new collection in their luggage. While Janina usually wore the Sydney All Black, Christina could hardly put down the Sofia Transparent Caramel Brown. Nina and Kelly’s favorite accessories included the Zurich All Black and the Florence Transparent Caramel Brown. Get inspired by how the girls combined the new glasses:

Are you now also in the mood for summer, good weather and a trip to Seville? We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for summer! But until it comes, our new sunglasses will do for now!

Do you remember the wonderful impressions from the Winterhouse last week? Together with Liz & Christin Kaeber, Cita Maass, Lisa Marie Schiffner, Nadine Klein and Katharina Damm we visited a cozy chalet in Arabba, Italy. On the trip, not only pure relaxation awaited the Influencers, but also some exciting experiences.

We started with a hike through the snowy winter landscape of the Dolomites, followed by delicious dinner with fondue and wine. The evening ended with a classic movie night on the sofa. For a change, the next day we had a morning yoga session on the agenda, but also some action! – We invited the group to a unique adventure: A Helicopter flight over the Dolomites with probably one of the best views over the snowy mountain range. But the next few days also had a lot to offer. Whether touring through the wilderness with cute huskies or a well-deserved spa day – this trip had truly everything to offer. We don’t know about you, but we’re already getting excited for upcoming travels or events, and we hope we inspired you a little and got you excited about where your wanderlust will take you! Here’s to an eventful summer, Kaptens!

Hello Kaptens, it’s time for another launch! We are happy to share with you the new and limited edition of our Bergen backpack that we designed together with a well-known German Influencer. You might have seen her on various Social Media platforms, she is especially present on Instagram and YouTube, where she has a huge and supporting community. She even has discovered newer channels like Tik Tok for herself. We don’t want to make you wait any longer (even though you have probably already seen it in the title); but here we present to you our new backpack Bergen by xLaeta.

For seven years now, the radiant influencer has been inspiring people with creative DIYs, make-up tutorials and fashion inspirations on YouTube.

Julia has given our all-time favourite a fresh update for autumn. The Bergen backpack comes in a “Dusty Rose” tone combined with white accents. The cute tassels and gold details give it a high-end look. Julia also came up with something special and decorated the zipper on the outside pocket with a motivational saying. This is not the only reason why the backpack is perfect for school, university or adventures. The many pockets and separate inner compartments offer plenty of storage space for your laptop, notebooks and more.

We have already tested the new Bergen in the outdoors for you and visited Munich together with Julia. We would like to share with you our favorite spots:

First stop: Marienplatz, Hotel Opera and Hofgarden

A must see on your Munich trip is definitely the Marienplatz. Together with the town hall, that spot should be on the top of your list because no matter what season, the Marienplatz is always busy and filled with people from all over the world. Not far from here, you can visit the Hotel Opera which is a perfect photo location because of its beautiful facade. Close by, you can also find the Hofgarden which is the perfect place to relax and take a break while also looking at pretty flowers. Especially now, it’s the perfect time to take a walk through the garden and enjoy the last warm beams of sunshine.

Next stop: Gärtnerplatz, Monopteros and the Bavaria Statue

Our first destination here is the Monopteros. In opposition of what the name might sound like, it is not a dinosaur, but in fact a greek style temple. From the Monopteros, you have a significant view on the English garden and the Munich city skyline. Next, we stop at the Gärtnerplatz which has become the hot spot of Munich, especially in the evening hours this place is filled with young people enjoying their time together. For those of you who don’t want to miss out on seeing Munich sights, you should make their way down to see the Bavaria Statue. The 18 meter tall statue views the Theresienwiese which forms the meet up point for the famous Oktoberfest. Fun Fact: the statue was the tallest one of its kind before the American statue of liberty was built. Additionally, the statue is hollow inside and you are able to take stairs up to the top and enjoy a full view of the Theresienwiese.

We hope that we were able to give you a few tips and inspirations for your next city trip to Munich – and maybe the new backpack by xLeata will be with you as well.

Until then, kind regards, Kaptens!
